Hi there! Thanks for reading our About page.
We write about finance for people who devote themselves to non-profit service through their day jobs. We make the case that it doesn’t have to be either/or: you can do good and do well during your life.
We have a particular interest in “impact investing” or “socially responsible investing” for individuals and families.
We intend for this site to be helpful to anyone, regardless of where you work or whatever you may do for a living–especially if you seek to do well while doing good.
Our mission is to share the most useful and valuable financial knowledge we can with those who serve the public interest through their daily work. (All the better if any knowledge shared here helps anyone else, too! And noting here that people often move from the for-profit sector to the non-profit sector–and possibly back and forth!)
This site is intended for informational purposes only. Nothing here should be construed as financial, legal, tax, or any kind of advice at all. It merely reflects individual experiences with books, media, and services that relate to finance from the lens of those working in the non-profit field. We strongly urge you to get professional advice from others; please think of this site as “for entertainment purposes only.”
We intend to support this blog through a combination of ads, affiliate links, and other means of covering our costs. We will seek to be transparent when we might be getting paid when you click through to another site to make a purchase, say of a book or a service.
Created in 2020, this site is intended to support members of the non-profit community and those who seek to do well while doing good. We will keep it as up to date as we can, but again, please don’t rely on anything here as professional advice of any kind.
